Personal

Throughout my childhood and adult life I looked up to my Dad. He was the persona of a salesman. I can remember as a young boy trying to find something of value to sell so that I could be just like him.

At the age of sixteen, I had saved enough money to buy my first car, a black '57 Chevy. This allowed me to join in the family business, selling cookware. Dad always made selling look easy, he had the ability to instill trust in people. I found it somewhat difficult to make it look that easy, in fact much to my surprise, it was not an easy job at all. After a summer of struggles, there were a lot of times that I felt I was not cut out for sales. It seemed the harder I worked, the more frustrated I became. Sensing my frustration, Dad asked me why I wanted to be in sales. My answer was "the money."

Dad stopped and said: "Son, your focusing on the wrong thing. Until you stop focusing on the money and start focusing on the people and their needs you will never truly be a 'good' salesman."

This is a philosophy that I tried to live by ever since. Selling is truly nothing more than a transfer of trust.

When Dad died in January of 1998, one of his friends said to me "Man, your Dad could have sold a refrigerator to an Eskimo." I thought to myself, yes, he could have, but only if he believed in his heart that the Eskimo really needed one.

Real Estate has been very "good" to my family and me since I started in 1986. In turn, I hope I've been good to the many people I've helped over the years. My goal is to help you accomplish your dreams in a way that you will have complete trust and confidence that I'm doing the best I can for you.
